Up until Sunday, there have been at least 19 domestic terrorism-related arrests and charges made in relation to protests at the "Cop City" location since December. The shooting of 26-year-old environmental activist Manuel Esteban Paez Teran by the Georgia State Police on January 21 resulted in six of the 19 arrests. This violent riot in downtown Atlanta was the cause.
